About Us – DITHI
DITHI is the fulfilment of a heartfelt dream nurtured for nearly 15 years, built on the belief that strong foundations create confident, capable learners. Established in 2016, DITHI brings together Montessori early education and phonics-based literacy learning to support children at every stage of their developmental journey.
I am an early childhood educator with a strong passion for nurturing young learners through thoughtful, child-centred practices. My journey in education is deeply rooted in the Montessori philosophy, supported by professional training and continuous learning.
I hold an AMI Diploma from Chennai, which has given me a strong foundation in Montessori principles, prepared environments, and respect for each child’s natural pace of development. This training enables me to guide children toward independence, concentration, and joyful learning.
I am also a Certified Child Counsellor (Non-Clinical), which helps me understand children’s emotional needs and support their social and behavioural development with empathy and care. I strongly believe that emotional wellbeing is a vital part of early learning, and I strive to create a safe, nurturing environment where every child feels heard, valued, and secure.
As a Phonics Trainer for Kids , I support children in building strong foundations in reading, writing, and pronunciation through playful, multisensory phonics approaches. My teaching is further enriched by attending various storytelling workshops, which have enhanced my ability to foster imagination, listening skills, expressive language, and a love for stories in young children.
To stay connected with evolving best practices, I have attended the 7th National Montessori Conference, gaining valuable insights from experienced Montessori educators across the world.
I believe early childhood education should be joyful, meaningful, and respectful. My goal is to support each child’s holistic growth—academically, emotionally, and socially—while nurturing a lifelong love for learning.
Our Philosophy
We strongly believe that the early years (2–6 years) are the most critical phase of a child’s growth, with nearly 90% of brain development occurring during this time. Children learn best when their senses are active and they engage with concrete, hands-on experiences. A rich, well-prepared environment helps children build muscle memory, concentration, and independence—forming a strong foundation for lifelong learning. Our school follows a Montessori approach, where children learn by doing. The teacher, known as the directress, carefully observes each child, presents activities with clarity, and offers the right support at the right moment. Mistakes are welcomed, as self-correction leads to deeper understanding and long-term retention.
Our Journey into Phonics
DITHI Phonics was born from real classroom experiences. While working in a school, our founder observed that many children progressed to higher grades without strong reading skills. As academic demands increased, these children struggled—not due to lack of ability, but because their reading difficulties were often overlooked or misunderstood.Determined to bridge this gap, Dithi Phonics was created to help children develop confidence, clarity, and lifelong literacy skills through structured, child-friendly phonics instruction.
Our Approach to Learning
At DITHI, we recognize that every child is unique. Learning styles differ, and so do interests and strengths. Through careful observation and individualized teaching methods, we ensure that learning is engaging, enjoyable, and effective. We function independently, allowing children to learn at their own pace, giving them the time they need to understand concepts, correct errors, and grow with confidence—without pressure.
